I always welcome random and unexpected humor.</p> <p>My <b><i>NAS</i></b> catalog arrived a few days ago. It's full of lovely new styles, pretty colors, and great ideas. I'm liking what I see a lot more than I did last year, maybe I'm more open to trends or maybe this year's crop just appeals to me more. I also like the way the catalog is laid out.</p> <p>At the same time I received a catalog from <b><i>The Vermont Country Store</i></b>. They have two stores in Vermont, but most of their business over the years has been via catalog orders and now internet orders. Their catalog is full of&nbsp; seersucker sleepwear, very traditional underwear styles, simple cotton dresses like your mother/grandmother/great-grandmother might have worn, cotton percale sheets, older beauty product brands that are not available anywhere else, very traditional kitchen gadgets, candy, and all sorts of other things in styles and brands that have passed the test of time.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm putting both catalogs on the table on my porch so I can read them together while enjoying the warm weather with a glass of ice tea. It's so much fun to look at the old and the new :-)&nbsp; And in this&nbsp; modern age we can HAVE IT ALL!</p> </p>
