It's been 1 week, and I'm able to type this without weeping, so am making some progress as the worst of the grief recedes. I still haven't brought myself to look at the hundreds of photos and videos of Kedi on my phone yet. In time. My heart goes out to each and every one of you who empathize with this particular love and loss. We visited Istanbul several years ago and loved the street cats.
