But practically speaking, the Boden coat would probably stand up to the weather and your little ones a little better. Nothing wrong with that though--I'm a bit of a Boden addict myself!</p> <p>BTW, I have those Hunters in the glossy violet too, and I absolutely adore them. I too worried that I should play it safe and go for basic black for the sake of versatility, and I'm so glad now that Nordstrom's was sold out of the black when I went shopping for them. (I can think of a couple playgrounds and one children's educational farm where wellies would be useful, but a water resistant jacket would suffice - and particularly in the muddy, slushy spring, when it's too hot for winter boots and too mucky for ballet flats or the like).
