I know Angie has mentioned not wanting to have wet hems and so usually opting for skinnies in wet Seattle. I'd get totally dressed (maybe bootcuts), get downstairs, and then drat - realize it's pouring outside - why didn't I look when I was getting dressed? Who knows. But then, it's too late for tall boots - it's hard to impossible/uncomfortable to stuff bootcuts into rainboots. I'm finding there is a great deal of interest on the hemlines of tops right now and I'm paying as much attention to the detail there as I am to the neckline and sleeves. </p> <p>We don't get much rain in the desert, but I'm partial to patent flats or a vegan sandal if it's a hot summer rainstorm. The front is a pleated tuxedo style. Not bad for a TJ Maxx find.</p> <p>I would like to add a casual hooded trench/parka to this outfit. Any suggestions? I only have my dressy black 3/4 length trench and a silver gray windbreaker-type jacket (it's nice, though - but perhaps a bit sporty - it's Helly Hansen, a sailing brand).</p> <p>How would you adjust this outfit for summer? Are the tall boots too hot (or unseasonal) for summertime?
