Being an inverted triangle (and not a skinny, supermodel one), I feel like leggings (and likewise skinny jeans), just emphasizes how thin my lower half is compared to the upper half. When I sported leggings in college, I wore them with hiking boots which sort of gave me something to balance it out. I feel like knee-high boots sort of accomplishes this with skinnies tucked in. However, leggings with a tunic or dress worn with ballet flats or sandals would just give me the ice-cream cone effect. I do not want to leave the house looking like I forgot my pants.
