I went ahead and ordered both. Guess I'll try them and return if not up to my specs!

Becky, I honestly thought the quality didn't seem up to par. If it had, I'd have bought several of them:/

Thanks for weighing in, ladies. I think I prefer the look of the beltless cardi, and agree that it would be easier to wear. Beth, several reviewers on the Nordstrom site mentioned the thin material. Did it seem like it wasn't good quality, or just thinner than you expected a cardi to be? I wonder, though if the fabric of the other will be similar since they're both the same brand?

No personal experience with either, sorry. But like Laura, I would pick the second one because self-belts can be difficult to wear, and to me are less "new look" than beltless cardis.

Becky, I like the first one very much. Haven't seen it IRL though.

I agree that the second one would be easier to wear, but I've seen it and it's surprisingly thin (as in see-through). Might be OK to wear under several layers, but it's more about color and texture than warmth.

I would go for the second one (haven't tried them on, though) because it's so much easier to wear open than belted with a self-belt. Reading Harper's Bazaar last night, they said ruffles were "in" - so the powers that be have given their blessing, at least for another season.

Over a year after Angie's great autumn MOTG posts, I *still* don't own any of the "new look" cardigans which are a component of several outfits. Because I live in the boonies, trying them on isn't an option, and I struggle knowing how something will look on me from a picture. I'm considering Nordstrom's Caslon Ruffle Wrap Cardi ( http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....ltback=243 ) or Ruffle Trim Cardi ( http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/31.....ltback=243 ). Has anyone tried these on? How do they look on slightly curvy figures?
