Angie, you are amazingly wonderful to remember Grandma is doing as well as can be hoped at the time. She is about 93-95 yrs old and her body just couldn't handle the last month's heat wave there. She is stable but her body is just slowly shutting down. I'm just very grateful I had the opportunity to see her before the inevitable. The doctor has had everybody mentally prepared and now it is just a matter of keeping her comfortable in her last days. Thankfully she is not in any pain or distress as she has always been very healthy and strong. Just old age

Shana, I'm so sorry for the mixup!! On weekends especially I'm on line in short quick bursts, so I hurry to post. That's no excuse and I will be more careful in the future. Your photos helped inspire me to track down this jacket.
So many times I have nothing to add to comments already made, so don't post a reply, but I read and look at almost everything because I learn so much from all of you. Thank you for your stylish presence here.

Joy, aww thats too bad the jacket has spots. I was able to have Nordies track down a PM and it arrived while I was in India. I have yet to open the box. I'll pull it out an see if the dots are chracteristic of the distressing.

Oh shana! I am so sorry that we have made you feel this way! I haven't been on the forum half as long as you but I absolutely appreciate for the integral part of the forum that you are. I get a lot of inspiration from your outfits and I want you to know how much I appreciate all your feedback and insight on my outfits and questions. I haven't been too active on the forum the last two weeks or so and I might have skipped commenting on your posts. Please continue to post as you do. I promise to comment!

I find certain times on YLF to be busier than others, so if you post at those times, your post has a higher chance of getting lost. It seems busiest during weekday mornings/afternoons (also the time I choose to be productive, otherwise I would never be able to tear myself away!).

Shana, this place moves really fast these days and it can definitely be frustrating when your thread gets lost in the shuffle, but I'm sure it wasn't intentional! I thought I saw your name somewhere when I looked at Joy's post but I just glanced and couldn't find it again (it was on the title bar).

Actually this is my picture of the Caslon jacket from a post on which only got like 2 replies so no wonder you thought it was Vani's. I guess I'm a little grumpy because I feel like no one replies to my posts though I try to respond to others' posts as often as I can. Oh well.

Anyway, there are no such "spots" on my jacket so I don't think it's part of the distressing - did it perhaps get wet somehow? Maybe you could try some leather cleaner/conditioner? I hate buying an item new that is already damaged or defective so personally, I would see if they can find you another one & return this one if you cannot get the spots out.

I cannot wait to see a picture. It makes me smile that you are so happy with the fit and style of the jacket.
Too bad when we shop online we don't get to look for those types of spots and choose another one. I vote taking it to the cobbler or cleaners and ask about rubbing them out, if you cannot track down a replacment. I would think that Nordstrom's will be able to find one for you though.

Oh, Joy! A haunted kitchen!!! You are cracking me up! Seriously, I'm the same way, those little devilish details always pop right to the forefront for me and I have to force myself to overlook them. It would be great if you could manage a picture for us.

I'll see if I can manage a picture of the jacket and the Citron top I asked about in another thread. The picture I posted is Vani's jacket, not mine with the spots. It is the same style and color as Vani's.
Jean, thank you for your comments. I'm also bad about obsessing about the details. When we remodeled our kitchen, a prominent cupboard door had a large dark area in the wood grain that looks to me like a face, and not a pleasant one.
It's been a couple of years and I still see that face but have learned to live with a haunted kitchen.

Joy,
I do not see any spots on the picture. I would not worry about them especially if the look is distressed and your size cannot be found anymore. If you are anything like me, I obsess about that kind of thing too much. Same mentality as saving my good clothes for special occasions for fear of ruining them and then the occasion never happens. If you want you could take a more detailed photo of said spots.

My NAS jacket arrived and I had time to try it this morning. The good news is that I think it's perfect in fit and what I'm looking for. The bad news is that there are some dark spots on it, especially a couple of round spots 1/4 inch in diameter on the front placket and on the collar right in front. There are others that aren't as noticable. I will see if they can track down another PS but doubt it.
Do you think this is part of the "distressing"? It looks like the same darkening agent was used along the seams, but it's subtle. Did anyone else have dark spots on their jacket? I love this jacket so much I'm almost tempted to keep it spots and all if another can't be found, but wonder if they will jump out at me every time I look in the mirror.
Here is a photo of the jacket that I borrowed from Vani's post.
