They were Harrods and they lasted and lasted and didn't itch, but obviously I was much younger then. When my cat, who liked to draper herself around my neck while I was sitting, snagged it I was able to repair it and keep wearing it.</p> <p>That same cat gave me a lovely case of poison oak later when I was talking on the phone--neck, arms, even my belly. I don't comment often (it's been years I think!) but the Garnet Hill cashmere turtleneck is the closest I've come to replacing a beloved hand-me-down from my mom. Related to that, agreed on the comment about vintage. My mom bought the cashmere turtleneck in Italy 35 years ago. We both wore it often, and it's still beautiful. Sadly it is already showing pilling after about 8 wears. Do not recommend that brand for cashmere.
