I got a bluefly mailer yesterday: $10 off any cashmere purchase over $100 through oct 31. Just use "CASHMERE12" at checkout.

I haven't been over to the site to check out their selections; I am skeptical because bluefly never offers petites. But if anyone has experience with their offerings and thinks they might fit a shortie, let me know....

Well I don't know if twinsets are outdated, per se. But I think a cardigan looks a lot better if it's paired with a blouse, knit, or shell of a different fabric/color.

Yes, a twinset! I couldn't think of the name. Are they hopelessly outdated?

Thanks for the info Nicole! I do have a few cashmere sweaters on my wish list but sadly none on the SB site fits the bill.

Joy, do you mean a twinset? Matching sleeveless sweater and cardigan?

I like to have a sleeveless shell with a matching cardigan so that I can remove the cardi if I get too warm (or hot flash attacks). Is this look just too old-lady for words? Seriously, should I forget trying to replace my sweater sets?

Angie, I can wear cashmere, but I actually find it too warm for me. I own a few cashmere sweaters, but rarely wear them.

It's supposed to be 85 degrees today in Seattle and that's super hot for us! Of course, it was 55 degrees this morning when I got up. The 30 degree temperature swings are tough to dress for -- fall in the morning, summer in the afternoon.

Exactly, Patience! I'm so excited today. I love that cool crispness in the air that tells you fall is coming. It is especially potent and welcome after our brutal summers.

It was cool this morning but it's going to be warmer this afternoon. Originally, my plan was to wear a slightly oversized white, safari style button down with my clamdiggers and sandals. But since it is so nice and the humidity is low, I went with the same top, but I am wearing my black skinny jeans and cheetah print ballet flats instead. And I get to wear my hair down today! I feel fabulous. Oh that it would stay this way for the duration of the season.

Cashmere sweaters are on my fall list. Most of Smart Bargains sale items I'm interested in are Magaschoni brand. The one review I found did not recommend them, calling their sweater scratchy and inferior. Has anyone tried this brand? It sounds like they also run tight in the chest. I can't tell if this would be a problem for me or not since I'm not very busty (32C or B).
The prices seem pretty good for just going into the season, although I'm thinking of holding off to see what else is available. Our real sweater weather starts in December.

It feels like fall this morning! At least for Austin. Angie, 85 is still hot, just not as hot as 95. But this morning it is 70 and the humidity is low (for us). The thing about Austin fall is you know it's fall when you wake up to a nice crisp cool air in the morning and a load is lifted off your shoulders and you're just ecstatic. My whole family felt this way this morning. I guess in the end, it's just like what you are describing, Angie. The temperature range for a day is very large 20+ change is not uncommon so 70-90 or 65-85 is normal. You can either layer or just dress for the warmer weather, Ana, because 70 isn't really that cold-- it's perfectly pleasant.

Oh boy. Ana, Texas weather boggles my mind. We have an 83 day today and that’s HOT. But it’s already cold at night and in the morning. That Autumn crispness is in the air. I love it!

Thanks Nicole. Can’t wear cashmere. Can you and do you?

Ooh, thanks Nicole!

This is so timely because it's only meant to get up to 85 degrees today! I went outside and it's cold (kind of)! I don't know what to wear because I can't remember what 85 feels like, I'm afraid I'll dress too warmly/not warmly enough, lol. It's supposed to get back up to 90+ by the end of the week though. Boo.

I remember a few YLFabbers had Cashmere Sweaters on their fall wish lists. Just thought I'd let y'all know that Smart Bargains is having a Cashmere Sale right now.
