Although I do think they work, it’s also going to be a season of many cargo options, so perhaps there’s no rush to settle as others have mentioned. So in terms of fit, I am seeing what Jessikams noted (that the rise appears to be too short for you, or perhaps you are wearing them higher than they were designed to sit?). Sizing up might work (to help them sit a little lower) or it may be that this particular cut isn't quite right. I like the way you've styled them too. My favorites are with the trainers, but I think only because I like the break of the pants with them. Wanting to embrace something new, but just not feeling great in it. My guess is that perhaps the wider leg silhouette is making you uncomfortable.
