All great suggestions, biscuitsmom. I bought it at Lands End, who is also known for great customer service, so I may start there.

Im really not sure, but would suggest finding out if there is a toll-free number for whatever brand you bought and ask them, or if Nordstroms carries any coats with the same material yours has, you could call and speak with their customer service people- they seem to go out of their way to be helpful! Maybe bring it to your dry cleaner and get their advice also....Good luck....

After a half season of wear, the faux fur trim on my puffer coat's hood is beginning to look a little flat in places. How would one properly maintain the trim so it stays looking nice? Is there a way to brush it and fluff it out again without making it shed its fibers?
