For context, I am a 5'7", size 16-18 hourglass living in a climate with cold winters. I work at home, so skew casual. Always happy to answer questions. </p> <p>1. <b>Aquatalia booties</b>. Angie is dead right about these. They are amazing. I wear a US 10M but followed site guidelines and ordered a 10.5. I'm glad I did. I always wear socks with my boots and with socks the half-size up fit perfectly. The leather is textured and thick, not a thin suede, and the shaft is neither tight nor loose on my ankle. The color is a truer dark gray than it looked on my computer screen. This is a good thing. </p> <p>2. <b>Vince cardigan</b>. I like chunky, supple knits. Maybe it's my years living in Wisconsin. Maybe it's that I like knits to mold to my body but still have a bit of structure. In any event, this sweater delivers. A substantial knit that has good weight and will keep me warm AND presentable for casual meetings or family appearances. I wear a 16 and ordered the large. It fit perfectly, including my far from sleek upper arms.</p> <p>3. <b>Halogen cardigan</b>. MIght be my favorite purchase. The booties are very nice, but...this sweater is very flattering. Yes, I am highly susceptible to flattery, and this lightweight and slightly playful little cardigan magically makes me look slimmer, lighter, and more fluid. I bought the Large size based on my other Halogen garments and that was the right size. The knit is lightweight, and though it has buttons I plan to wear it open. It also looks amazing with black jeans, a white EF silk tee, and those booties. Definitely a team player.</p> <p>4. <b>Missoni scarf</b>. Love the colors. Now that my hair is silver, I use cheery scarves to alert people that I am fun-loving and approachable. This is particularly necessary in winter, when coats hide all else.</p> <p>5. <b>Other</b>. What is there to say about bras, under layers, and lingerie wash, other than that lingerie wash makes a box with booties already in it quite heavy. </p>
