Blanket scarves don’t look as timeless and sophisticated as a basic oblong or rectangle . I hate to say this , but to my eye they can also look pretty cheap pretty easily . Wrapped around the outside, they slide off. That could be why you aren’t seeing them together. But speaking for myself, I don't let that mess with my <b>outdoor</b> capsules. </p> <p>The trend away from scarves has, I admit, altered I feel about my big scarves for <b>indoor</b> wear. I'm still wearing them (they'd become a real outfit maker for me, personally -- almost signature to my look) -- but I feel a bit meh about them in that situation, and am looking for alternate way to achieve the benefits I get from indoor scarves (pattern mix, colour near face, warm neck, outfit interest). There is a sense (for <b>me</b>) that it's a bit of a dated approach. Keep in mind that I've been wearing a ton of scarves for about a decade. So that affects what feels dated vs. what doesn't. If you jump on a trend early and wear it a lot, you are bound to tire of it eventually at least on a temporary basis. Unless it becomes true signature as with <b>Katerina</b> and as with blue and silver for my style.&nbsp;</p> <p>However, when it comes to <b>outdoor</b> wear, if it works, wear it, baby!! Some current parkas come with a snug kind of dicky that makes scarves less necessary; see my Quartz one below that has a sort of inner jacket with high neck. Scarves are actually a pain with that coat.
