I also have a simpler forest green one with beige and brown embroidery. My mommhas a huge collection of these. This is what Indian women wear with their sarees and salwaar-kameez suits. The men tend to wear less adorned ones.</p> <p> These are shawls and they are wide and long scarves. Not sure what the difference between a poncho/cape/capelet is.
