I have the kensington in a medium and I find it pretty TTS. I'm usually a medium in coats/jackets. I'm 5/7.5", rectangular to pear, narrow shoulders, small bust, long long arms.

I run cold, and am also not "delicate" on my clothing. I wear it for neighbourhood walks when it's super chilly (I'm on the west coast...but it snows once in awhile, and my parents live in the mountains). It's a wonderful coat. Worth the $, IMO.

I tried the Kensinton parka on earlier this fall. I'm slightly pear shaped with a small bust and I didn't get it because of fit. The XS fit in the bust but was tight across the hips and the S was too roomy up top but fit me in the hips. It probably would have worked well for an hourglass.

I tried on some last year, just for fun, and I found that the fit of the coats was all over the place. Some styles fit me, some were awful. Some were tight in the shoulders, some weren't. I can't remember what actual size I was looking at, but I suspect it was between two, depending on the fit. So I hate to say it, but I would caution you ordering online order them unless you can find what style you want first. Or of course if there is a good return policy it's moot.

Tania, I don't have a Canada Goose so can't comment on fit, but I am bumping for answers as I know some people here do own them.

It sounds as if you are a good candidate for this coat!

Does anyone know how the sizing runs? I have an email out to the company, and I spoke to a person at MooseJaw, one of the retailers that carries it, but I will not be able to go to a brick and mortar store to try it on.

My concern is that its slim fit will not work well for me. I have somewhat broader shoulders and a bigger chest relative to my waist/hip sizing (ITish hourglass?) and have found that I can't always go by the size charts.

If you have thoughts on another style that would work, I'd be open to ideas. I finally decided on Canada Goose because I run cold and it seems like a durable cover over the down baffles. I will use it mostly for daily walks around my neighborhood, but I go into the woods a few times a week with the kids (so not necessarily building up a sweat since they go at a more leisurely pace). I also am not delicate with my clothes. I ordered a few other puffers from Lands End, but I think the fabric won't hold up as well for me. As an example, last winter, I cracked a pair of new Sorel 1964 boots by kicking through an iced over stream. I've looked at puffers that my kids/husband have from LL bean, but they are really bulky and didn't fit well at all.

Thanks in advance.
