Nice to see you back!&nbsp;A bit late to the thread but...</p> <p>I think this is a bit of a fringe trend.&nbsp;If it doesn't catch on in a big way I suspect it may turn out to be one of those long-lived left field classics that can lend a bit of individuality, like a harem pant or a dropped crotch. Or it may just die on the vine.</p> <p>I found a pair from Comme de Garcons last year (deepest discount!) and I wear them quite a lot but of course being Comme they're an unusual shape which suits my style. I'm considering making some as well.</p> <p>I also read this funny little article about <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.theguardian.com/fashion/shortcuts/2015/oct/19/culottes-for-men-would-you-wear-them-down-the-pub">culottes for men</a>. I thought they looked kind of cool, but it's clearly a high risk look for the gents!</p> <p>And I love me some Hope. They recently opened a store here. Haven't bought anything, but I've been in for a drool more than once. That pair look fantastic! I'd say high risk, high reward. So very comfortable, and I felt dressed up, but not overdressed. They hit me higher on the waist than on the model, and I paired them with tall black heeled boots. I wear mine mostly in summer, but I do dress them up with boots and jacket in winter too.</p> <p>What I know I haven't seen, and don't ever expect to see or embrace, is the cropped flares or wide-leg pants I have seen several on the forum trying already. My eye may adjust--it has happened before--but I suspect culottes will outlive those this time around. It has been prolonged summer temps, so mostly flowy versions worn with high vamped chunky open toe footwear. </p> <p>I'm no fashion pro, but suspect you would be ahead of the curve with this trend, and get 2 F/W seasons as au courant. The length is easier to adjust, but these hit me at mid/low calf, which I find quite versatile. They look good with tall boots, higher shaft booties and of course &nbsp;pumps. I prefer a bit of heel with them. In fact, Mr Ingunn said that I would look like Toulouse-Latrec if I skipped the heels.
