I really like them, they have the elegant line of ballet flats. They should be versatile for skirts or pants. I recently decided I'm done with heels, so I should send you my heels and you can send me your flats.

I broke down and ordered a pair -- I was having troubles getting dressed today because I don't have much in the way of footwear that's not a sandal, boot, or Converse!

Tricia - I have to laugh because I identify so much with what you said about hating the way your feet feel flat on the floor and the way flats look on yourself. I feel EXACTLY the same way! I try and try to make flats work for me but they just do not feel 'natural' to me at all!!! So these types of shoes really would be perfect I think. I actually just ordered the pair Leehovey is talking about from Target that look very similar to these. I think I will wear them a lot. I saw this pair you are talking about at DSW, but like Maya - they didn't have my size.

So yes, I think these will be a perfect substitute and I think very wearable with everything. And I know Angie has the beige snakeskin pair and loves them.

I have a similar pair in all black snakeskin from target that I adore and wear with everything. Ok, thats a lie, I haven't worn them with skirt/dress yet because I don't wear those much. But I have worn them with trousers, skinnies, straight legs, boot cuts. I think they make a good substitution with ballet flats because the tiny wedge heel is there but not big enough to be a pump.

They are indeed in the YLF store. Angie has them in snake. We looked for them at Macys when she was here but couldn't find them. I did try a VERY similar pair at DSW though and they were comfy, but as always, would not stay on my foot even with the elasticized topline. The next half size down wasn't in stock. They did make my feet look a little clownish though, but they are not exactly the same shoes. The Lawris look sleeker.

I realized today that I hate flats. I hate the way they make my legs look in skirts, I hate feeling my foot flat on the floor...but I do like the LOOK of ballet flats with certain things, and they seem practical for this in-between weather when it's too hot for boots or my big retro Taipei pumps, and too cold for sandals.

So, I was thinking about these...would I be able to wear these with skirts as well as pants? Are they low enough to function as a ballet flat rather than a pump? I was thinking about getting both the black and the snakeskin, for something a little different...
