Maybe it's just where I live, but I've seen maxi dresses everywhere this year. I didn't notice them last year though. Maybe we're behind on some trends in Missouri. On Memorial Day I went to an outdoor concert that the Kansas City Symphony does every year, and half the women there were in maxi dresses. I've found that you can wear shoes that are close to your skin color, or metallics like gold or silver with higher vamps and still get away with it while wearing skirts/dresses/walk shorts.
