I've realised that I always seem to wear my black sheath with this group of people, so I've tried to stick with the blue skirt. I've added black lacey top, black fun hose, black pumps and H&amp;M red jacket, green and black bracelet and red clutch. Now I'm worried I'll be over the top. Men will be wearing jacket and tie. I suspect it's the width of the skirt paired with the boxiness of the jacket. It depends entirely on the tone of the function - if its more formal go with the dress and jacket, but it's up to you - what would make you feel good?
