I agree that white is better Tanya. And seeing the blush jacket on your other thread reinforces how much better that shade is than this one.

I love the top -- but I am glad you've decided on a soft-white version, since it will be more versatile. I'm sure you could make the warmer blush work for you -- there are colors I love well enough to wear a brighter lip, or to pair with a scarf. Then there are some colors I'm not willing to work for. This is all about the happiness factor, though, and that's hard for anyone else to gauge.

I do think you "pull of" low contrast pairing quite beautifully!

I just looked at this top in the store and the white is fairly sheer. You will probably need a cami. It's very very cute in real life.

PS I think the blush color is going to be difficult for most people to wear. It's kind of muddy

What the others are saying -- I would find it a bit peachy for myself, for what it is worth. Having said that, I do have a top in this colour myself but it is the DVF sweater with black and white leopard print on it -- the contrast on the top seems to make the blush much more flattering on me somehow, plus that print is ideally sized/ shaped for my own size, which also helps.

If I went with this, I'd also wear with a scarf or topper that would provide a bit more contrast or interest. But soft white will be lovely on you and another blush top will appear!

Yeah, too nude. That was my first thought without reading your post or others. That doesn't mean it's unflattering, or that you can never wear this colour... But perhaps not in a detailed summer piece that should really stand alone.

Thank you so much ladies for all of your input, it has been most helpful!

I think that I am going to exchange the top for the soft white version and look for something else in a different shade of blush, as I really want a new blush top for the spring. I do wear blush, but my ideal shade has more of a blue/mauve undertone and I never even question it. This one indeed made me disappear as soon as I put it on, and I did not know what to make of it. I could make it work with a scarf or necklace in white or other contrasting color and lots of make up, but as Lisap said on a different thread, it is too much work.
I do wear make up. but usually it is pretty soft and natural. This top would require a bolder lipstick, which I do not like wearing at work/everyday situations, as I have very full lips and bright lipstick draws attention to that.
Once again, thank you so much for steering em in the right direction :)

What was your first reaction to the color? I struggle with nude and blush colors too and find that if I put something on and immediately question the color, it has to go back. It is a very pretty color and I think it looks good on you but if you are struggling with the color, I would move on.

When I was in my 20's I loved wearing peach tops and sweaters. I had a passport photo taken wearing a peach top. I'll never forget going through Immigration at O'Hare. The agent looked at me, looked at my passport, and repeated this a number of times. Then he said "It looks like you're not wearing anything in your photo." !!!! I never wore that top again!

I love this colour too, but find I need to wear at least a moderately intense lip colour to make it work - otherwise too much blending in of skin and hair. Do you wear makeup?

I actually took one into the dressing room but ended up not trying it on. I try to have something in my "mauvy-blush" prototype color with me when I can, or, since LOFT still features items closer to that cooler color, I can compare to items in-store. So, for me it's too warm.
I have to keep repeating the mantra, "Step away from the peachy blush".

I would consider, and have bought, tops that are JFE, of course, that are enhanced by require a scarf or jewelry to "skew" them to more flattering tone IF they are fantastic outfit-makers in some other way or bring a favorite print out of orphanhood or something, but still need to stay flattering enough and it's a fraught option for me as it can become a wardrobe benchwarmer or get tossed after a couple of wears.

I think it looks pretty on you (and I've seen your face IRL so I'm basing partially on that as well) but it is VERY low contrast. It's up to you whether you like that or not. If it were me, I'd probably keep but wear it with a contrasting scarf or necklace or something. It wouldn't even have to be very high contrast - I think any shade of grey would be lovely with this color.

I'm not going to be much help, because I've struggled with this same exact question. I think I'm actually closest to a Winter, but with similar skin and slightly darker hair and eyes. I've tried on several blouses in a similar color and not been able to decide if I liked it or not. The color being such a good and flattering match for skin tone is tricky.

The biggest reason I haven't gotten one yet is that I decided I would like a different color better. That's not really judging the color on its merits. But I think it reflects my Winter tendencies. You're a Summer, and I do think your more delicate coloring can handle this well.

That said, do you want to make the blush work? Would soft white be a consolation prize, or is it objectively your preferred color?

I ordered this Loft blush summer sweater together with the white cropped kicked flares and really like the cut and fit. However, I can not tell at all if the color works or not.
I know that this is not an entirely fair question considering that I do not like to show my face in the photos, but I would appreciate any input you can give based on the limited information. When it comes to blush colors, blue based versions work well on me and warmer, peachy ones not at all. My coloring is that of a Cool Summer ( very fair skin, light blue eyes, dark blond hair with ash highlights) and similar to out beautiful forum member Suz. This particular shade of blush looks neither warm nor cool to me but more nude - kind of like makeup foundation with pink undertones. It really blends with my skin. In the color palettes for my "season" rose beige is an option though I could never find/make it work for me. I like the sweater well enough that if you think this color is best left alone, I plan to exchange it for the soft white option.
