I think by the time I accept the look on myself, it will be over. I take big calves to a whole other level, since mine measure in at 19 inches. I have thick ankle and leg bones plus a lot of leg muscle that has been built up by long walks and participation in a sport that involves near-constant squatting stances. However, despite the largeness of my calves, my legs are shapely and in proportion so I know I shouldn't necessarily shy away. But leggings seem to shorten my legs. I wonder if this is because all my skirts are about knee length. It seems leggings often look best when one is wearing a slightly abbreviated skirt.
