Hot dress I like the idea of a blazer with some sparkle! If you wore gems, I'd say do them modern!

This dress looks great, I would bling up with a fun shoe like a patent red pump and a sparkly statement necklace

I think, in general, it depends on the sweater dress and how dressy it is. Yours is perfect for dressing up since the cut is a little sexy and not boxy like some. Add sparkly jewelry and heels and I think you're set!

Absolutely! As already stated, accessories (and sexy shoes) will make this uber glam. Go sparkly!

From the title I expetcted to see a bulky cable knit sweater dress and though - no way. However this one is perfect. I think it should work beautifully. Just add great shoes, clutch and some bling and you are all set!

A sparkly wrap or blazer (satin, silk, or sequinned) come to mind to bring it up a notch...And has the added bonuses of probably fitting you after any baby weight has come off too as well as being able to "mix and match" your new sparkly piece with your current wardrobe for more fun effects!

Wow, yes! The fit and style are definitely dressy enough (and the sleeves keep it nicely classy for a work event) - as Parsley said, some sparkle will take it to the Holiday Zone in no time. I can see why it's your go-to dress - looks wonderful on you!

From what I can see of it, I think that dress should be great. The neckline, fit and gathers all make it dressy, and you look stunning in it, by the way!

Add some blingy jewelry, a pretty clutch (red, maybe?) , and heels and you're good to go!

Hubby's company Christmas party is coming up soon. I *think* women wear the full gamut: business suits to cocktail dresses. I prefer to be more cocktail dress type, but I've tried a bunch of dresses and nothing really fits my post-baby body right. So I was thinking about relying on my old standard, this sweater dress, which some of you have probably seen before.

Can it be dressed up to be more appropriate for the event, or will it look weird to mix this dress with, say, strappy sandals with crystal decorations? Or should I just stick with it as a "casual" dress and wear basic pointy toe pumps? Or should I nix it altogether and keep trying to find a real cocktail dress?
