krishnidoux, the most likely explanation is that you replied to a post by a spammer. The spammers are getting much more sophisticated and often their initial posts are hard to detect. Then later they reveal themselves with something that is obvious spam, we detect that, and all their posts (and your replies to their posts) are removed from the forum.

Sometimes I get a message that I am "moving too fast" or something and then I have to resubmit my post. If you don't wait to be sure your reply is posted successfully, it could be because of something like that.

I should think it was marked as a spam post by someone, which means it disappears from the forum until checked by Greg then deleted if spam or reinstated if not x

Hm, from your post history, it doesn't look like you posted to any spam...unless it gets deleted from histories, too?

(Just checking, are you sure it's not because it's a spam thread that someone has reported so it vanishes, together with any replies?)

Krishnidoux, have you tried clicking on your profile and looking through the forum post section. I have had a couple of posts disappear but it was around the time of the recent site updates so I put it down to Greg fixing bugs (sorry if that is a disservice Greg).

I've had that happen too.
But I always second guess myself that I clicked the wrong thing to post--but it's happened a couple times for me now--I wonder now.

I posted a reply to a post which is not on the forum anymore. Is that possible?
(I was curious if the original poster had replied).
