I did Angie. I didn't have much to contribute, except that I'm sold on getting a pair of loafers for fall and the mission of the shop warms the cockles of my heart. Your shoes look exceptionally comfy! Marianna, the boots are gorgeous. Hope they fit!

I haven't bought them yet, but I may buy them and see what I can work out. I can always send them back if it's impossible. Do you like the boots in general?

Good idea Maya - btw, did you see Friday's blog post?

Glad you had a nice time Louise. My brother and his family, who live in London, are in Tuscany for week celebrating my SIL’s 40th. I hope they have fun too. Apparently the weather is awful at the moment :0(

You can buy boot shaft stretchers and do it yourself, so I'm sure a cobbler could do it. But if you're trying to go from 14" to 16" you probably need a new pair of boots rather than a stretcher. It depends how much you need to stretch. Or, maybe Loulou has something going there with the elastic gore.

Exactly, Louise! Go yak to your cobbler. There are ways and means, Marianna :0)

Lou, did you have a nice holiday?

Thinking out loud here- i wonder if they might be able to insert an elastic panel ,like some boots have when you buy them? I guess they wouldn't be able to add a leather panel because of matching the leather even plain black or brown could be problematic to colour match x

I'm drooling over a pair of boots and before I perform liposuction on my fat calves to make these boots fit, I want to know: Is there any possibility for a cobbler to add some girth to a boot circumference?

I want these boots (in sequoia patent):
http://www.zappos.com/cole-haa.....oia-patent

Sadly, I think they may be too narrow on the calf. Do you think a skilled cobbler would be able to do anything?

They're super expensive but they seem like they'd be really comfortable and durable... and I think they're gorgeous. They'd be a good investment... if I can make them work!

Doesn't Nordstrom have this boot in the other leather? Has anyone tried it on?
