Lol, I think the tall boots just look sexier which is kind of weird because it shows less skin. You can't go wrong with either. Did I tell you how much I love your hair? It is fantastic on you

Welcome to team wear!

I think the skirt fits. Others may disagree but here's my reasoning. A skirt with croc detailing and shine is meant to hug the curves a bit. Otherwise there's no point in having all that lovely shine and detailing if you had no intention of drawing attention to your curves.

I like where you're going with the scarf in #1. I like the lines and structure of the sweater more than I like the RATE look of the chambray shirt in #2. The charcoal also works well with the camo print because the camo isn't screaming "here I am!" instead, it looks almost like a neutral. It's a nice surprise once you realize what you're looking at. I'd love it if you had some olive and brown booties exactly like the ones you're wearing because then I'd feel like the scarf was more integrated.

Overall for #1 I love the "wild" elements of the skirt with the military elements in the scarf. I really like where you're going. I would try swapping out all the black elements and replacing with chocolate brown instead. The gray is delightful with green and I really like gray with green and brown. Have fun styling I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Karie, it's occurred to me before and now again, that your problem areas might be a bit in your head. As in, I don't see them at all!
I think the skirt fits great, and I am sensitive about my skirts being too tight in the hips/thighs, but really don't see an issue here, or with your shape in general :)
*edited to fix embarrassing name typo!

What a great skirt! I think I like it best with the booties too. Love it with the grey sweater and think you could wear it belted or unbelted. It also looks great with the denim shirt. I like Pil's suggestion of trying it tucked in. Love the new scarf!
Kelly, after looking at the photos, I prefer the booties too. There's something about the boots that I don't like with this skirt - makes it look even more body con, if that makes sense. The booties feel funkier.

You look great and the fit on the skirt is perfect. I slightly prefer the booties but they both look fab. Both toppers look awesome!

Pil, the skirt is lined so I don't really want to let it out if I don't have to. And Deborah, it is comfortable, probably because the waist fits just fine. I'm just not a very body con person, I like my body con to be body non-con!

Karie the skirt looks more than fine to me (along with your back view:)) but are you comfortable?
I think the skirt is lovely. I particularly like the styling in #1. It is chic and elegant and I do like how the scarf really adds interest. There is also a really nice blend of textures to the outfit.

Karie, I don't think your skirt is too tight but if it isn't lined what about letting the side seams out so you'll feel more comfortable with it? All of the stylings are nice to my eye. I'm partial to the belted gray sweater but someone who actually knows what to look for will probably have a different opinion : ) Have you tried tucking in the denim blouse? I copied a MaryK pencil skirt/chambray shirt/belt combination that was terrific on her and seemed to work for me too.

This one's a two parter:

Part One, Fit:
First, let me say I can't believe I'm posting a pic of my backside on the internet! Anywho, here goes:
I have had this skirt for several years (basically five pounds ago), so is it too small now? It is a snakeskin look skirt. It is a little loose in the waist but not as loose as I would like it in the hip/thigh area. Granted, I like my pencil skirts on the loose side, but I'm wondering if I can get away with this one. There's a stitching detail on the side which you can see from the back and it sticks out a little. I tried to look like I was walking in two of the pics.

If the skirt passes the fit test, then it's on to part two, styling (and if it doesn't, I'll keep wearing it with sweaters that hide a multitude of sins).

Part Two, Styling:
I am definitely on team wear. I just got the camo/lace scarf from Angie's pics and I love it! It perfectly fits my favorite way of dressing, a little on the wild side but a touch of femininity, too.
So of course I can't make up my mind how to style it, so I'm turning here for help. I like the tights/booties and will probably wear them with either outfit instead of the tall boots. Which top looks best? BTW, I didn't fix the scarf, just kind of threw it on.

EDIT: Oos, sorry, photos are out of order. Photos 1 and 2 go with part two and photos 3 through 6 go with part one.
