I am no help here. I have been wondering the same thing. I don't have camel booties, but would love a pair in taupe or similar - and then find myself wondering how to wear them in winter. So I will be reading with interest!

I'm preparing to update my autumn/winter wardrobe, and in the process I've found myself totally enamored with booties/skirt/dress look. I have two pairs of Victorian-inspired booties - one in cognac, one in camel/caramel brown - which I have been wearing exclusively with jeans and trousers. How to make them work with skirts and dresses that are either charcoal or navy? I'm petite and have rather short legs, so the best option would be matching the hosiery colour to my booties - but I bet there is a better and more visually pleasing solution than wearing brown-ish or nude tights with grey skirts.
If I find grey booties with a reasonable heel, I'll definitely buy them, and wear with charcoal grey tights, however, I'd like to maximize the options I already have.
