Regarding the front seam, you could knit it without a seam, and then put in a fake one afterwards. I remember Elizabeth Zimmerman doing this. Here's a link showing this technique:

Diana! Thanks for the links to some patterns. I will look more thoroughly today. Also thanks for the tips on working with cashmere and finding it cheaper. I confess I'll probably just pay full pop at my local knitting store since it'll be my first cashmere project.

Here's some patterns for similar shaped pullovers with drop sleeves and a wide body:

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/relax-5
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/boxy
http://www.ravelry.com/pattern.....-of-summer

If you are on ravelry they are all available for purchase there. None have the center front seam of the inspiration sweater but it would be easy to add a fake seam with something like a column of purl stitches or slipped stitches.

Cashmere is lovely to work with. It's expensive though. I buy most of my cashmere from here:
http://colourmart2.com/products/rootProducts

They sell high quality cashmere at discount prices because it's remainders from knitting mills. be aware though that since this is made for machine knitting so the yarn comes "oiled" (it's not actual oil but some kind of silicone type lubricant) so you need to wash it thoroughly either before or after knitting, and sometimes the gauge will change after washing so you need to swatch carefully. For an extra charge, colourmart will wash the yarn for you if you don't want to do it yourself.

Do you think I could figure out how to knit something like the Angie NAS pick, Pure Amici oversized v-neck sweater?

If you think it would be at all possible to duplicate in a hand knit, any suggestions on where I could find a similar-looking pattern?

I've never knit with cashmere before. Anything I should know?

Thanks!
