I don't think I would have bought new ones myself, but when I had those jeans altered on top because they were to wide in the waist they ended up being just a bit too short because they didn't sit as low on my hips. I figured I could try to save them like this, especially because they were fitting so well on top and I didn't want those alterations to go to waste! The 30" inseam does the trick as crops for you, I think.</p> <p>I'm a petite who has to buy regular misses size because I have a long ride and because a 28" inseam is too short for regular length pants. I cut an inch off the regular 30" inseam to get the 29" I need. For crops, I usually have to cut 2" off the regular misses' cropped pants. It all depends, but that's what I have to do most of the time. For me, those memories are far to burned into my psyche to allow me to comfortably wear cropped pants. I will keep trying though and perhaps someday this will gel for me.
