Thanks everyone for weighing in.

I think the question is how much self control I can have to not buy something unless I'm quite sure about it. I would prefer to stay away from impulse buys or stuff I don't need.

I have only ever bought cabi at consignment or outlet shops. Quality is pretty good.

I have several Cabi pieces, some of which were bought at a party and some at the outlet. I like the quality, and the fit tends to work for me. I'm not a fan of the party pressure to buy. I tend to buy something I don't need just to support my friend when I'd rather just take her to lunch:-). Also, at the parties, they don't have that many sizes available, so they want you to try on size x to judge how size y might fit. Frustrating.

I purchased a couple of items at a friend's Cabi party a couple of years ago. The quality is good but you are paying a bit more than you would at a retail sale this time of year. My advice is buy if you really love something, but your friend should understand if you don't care to purchase anything.

My cousin did a Cabi event a few months ago. It was a lovely event.

What I liked :
the variety of clothing.
The substance or feel of the fabrics.
How you seemed to have a whole wadrobe of mix and match.

We were shown how to style the wadrobe together and with other pieces not from Cabi.

Only thing I did no like was the $$ but I'm frugal.

A friend invited me to a Cabi party next week. Any insights or experiences with Cabi? I did look at the catalog online, some of the jackets and pants/skirts were interesting. What I could most use is tops but I didn't see any that are likely to work with my body type.

The bottom line is that I'm not really looking to spend $$ on clothes at this moment but there may be some pressure to do that. Thoughts? Looks like the average cost per item is around $100 or more which seems a little high.
