I am hoping that will pay dividends in the long term for wardrobe planning. With colour mixing I really need to be analytical because it doesn’t come naturally to me.</p> <p>LBD, thanks! I find warm weather outfits the hardist. Our summers are long, hot and sticky. Overnight temperatures don’t drop that much. My most comfortable silhouette is loose bottoms (the shorts in the first outfit or an A-line or midi skirt) with a semi fitted knit top for structure. The top is where I’m most likely to get sticky. I try to wear only natural fibres on top. I generally carry a scarf for sun protection or in case it gets cool. See attached pic. I also have some lightweight toppers in linen and cotton. But I run so hot I find I rarely need them in summer (I tend to wear them more in Spring/Autumn).</p> <p>I love the idea of a mermaid theme. Just off the top of my head, for summer, I would think:<br /> Fitted bottom eg pencil skirt in cotton<br /> Silk top - for that glistening, just emerged from the ocean, look<br /> Sea colours - blues, greens, aquamarine, coral, white (pearls)<br /> Lots of layered beaded necklaces (instead of seaweed!) much like mine in outfit 4.<br /> What fun!!!</p> <p>Sterling, thanks for your enthusiasm as always!
