I'm a big fan of oxfords. If they are comfortable, they could be very useful. Nude shoes in any style are always great to have in your wardrobe.

Good point about the Final Sale... I did some browsing at Nordstroms and found these... Which look more weather appropriate for spring in the south!

Agree with some of the other comments--these shoes look like they could work with just about anything! They could dress up a pair of shorts or casual summer dress, they go with long pants, capris, chinos and even floral dresses and full dresses which are big this season. I think you've made a good purchase and a great find!

If they are comfortable, they sound like winners for you. These look refined and the texture and lines will keep them from looking big on your feet.

Thanks for the input everyone! I was out with an impatient coworker today and wasn't able to try them on, so I'm not sure if they would have really looked like boats. I usually don't wear shoes that I imagine to elongate my feet, and it's probably a personal quirk.

I think I may get them and see how they work out with crops and skirts. I think once they are broken in, they could be great.

I've never noticed the size of your feet, just the long length of your legs! Are these final sale, or are they returnable? I would get them and see how they go with your stuff. I don't see how a *nude for you* can make feet look big, although I can see how a white or neon shoes can.

Well, I think they look terrific and "nude to you" is a huge bonus. Also, they happen to go with some of your amazing bags. (I still drool over your bag collection.) So I think trying them on with a bunch of your stuff will be key. Show us and we will let you know the truth! :)

I know what you mean about boat like feet. These shoes with the wingtip detail break up the long expanse of foot. I have big feet too and am simply not willing to wear shoes that make them look big. I recently got a pair of wingtip oxfords that I love. I'm planning on wearing them with my new bfs. It's still a little cool for bare legs, so I wore them last night with bootcut jeans.

Anyway, you should get them and try styling them at home. You may end up loving them!

I don't know how objective I will be. I love oxfords and see these as a great spring buy. They will be terrific with any kind of pant, including cropped, and potentially with some skirts and dresses too.
Did you try them on? Did you like them or are you wavering because you did not?
If you liked them but wonder about the value of this type of shoe, I would say that you don't need to worry; they will likely be very versatile.

It seems like, when you tried them on, there was something about how they looked on you that made you feel they were unflattering.

Do you think that feeling will go away as your eye adjusts and you find ways to wear them, or do have a sense (from past experience) that this is the kind of thing you probably won't adjust to? If you think you might adjust, it's certainly worth bringing them home and giving them a good try on.

Nude to you = awesome. I love finding a good nude shoe, especialyl for summer.

You can wear these with skirts as well as trousers. But, it is hard to know until you see them on your foot and try them for comfort. Not all flats are made equally.

I stopped by JCrew at lunchtime to look at the Navy field jacket. While pondering, I wandered into the sales department and saw these oxfords for 25% off (and already marked down).

I have wanted oxfords for a while, but have no idea how to wear these to flatter my shape. Can I even expect to flatter my shape with huge feet and boat-like flats? Is that just a dream? What I would do is buy them and wear them with long trousers (always). I know there are more fun things to do with these this spring, but I need some help deciding if they are a wise spring purchase or not. The color is nice and would be a *nude* oxford with my skintone.

I just don't know!
