I still make mistakes and then the wearing becomes either irritating, or the not-wearing becomes tinged with guilt. I guess I like both. I struggle with out-of-season shopping too, because I'm always excited to wear what I've just bought. And like rabbit, I find that sometimes my style direction changes between the purchase and when I can actually wear it, so buying off-season doesn't always work out well. But I do really enjoy that extra "kick" I get when I find (and buy) something new. My hope is that as the "kick" wears off, a different kind of good feeling will be in its place as I continue to wear the item and make it more "me." It's kind of a settling in to the new item or something. Like you, I cannot wait to wear what I buy. Like you, this can make it difficult to shop out of season. But, I get bored of wearing the same thing over and over again. For example I have favorite warm-weather dresses hanging in my closet that I am just not feeling this summer. It's true I gained weight since last summer, but these dresses still fit, and are still in good to excellent condition.  Yet I continually reach instead for the newer ones. It's not even because the newer ones are more trendy/fashionable. They are just newer, and I routinely find I go for the newer version first. I am noticing that a lot this season. However I still consider myself on Team Wear, not Team Buy. I do not have a lot of liesure time to shop in the malls these days. Online shopping is relaxing and works with my schedule much better. I still get a thrill ordering something online, and waiting for it to show up. But the bigger thrill is when it fits and it's a keeper. For me it is the wearing.  As soon as I have something new I have to wear it - I will find a way, even if it too dressy!!  This is probably why I struggle with shopping out of season.
