I don't really have one season that is dominant, it's more like four seasons (with a not so long summer) here. But I found that I have way more for mid temperatures than for really warm days or the really cold months. My winter outfits got a bit boring at the end. Even though it's going to be 117F tomorrow, it has taken me 9 years of living here to realize that everyone air conditions to around 70F plus or minus so I still need to layer for the&nbsp;<i>indoor</i> climate I live in. I finally realised that I have to concentrate on closed-toe shoes and boots and STOP buying sandals, which I can wear only for a short part of the year. But as soon as there is even a hint of summer, I start buying sandals. Ridiculous! Or where the winter went!&nbsp; </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/buying-for-your-dominant-season#post-965793 Thu, 27 Jun 2013 18:45:44 +0000 Marlene 965793@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I'm having a hard time shopping these days because I am loving everything in the stores and yet I live in the Pacific Northwest where summer is very short. &nbsp;I have run across a couple things that I love but passed on because I could not wear them outside of the very few days of heat we are blessed with here in the PNW. &nbsp;So maybe I am finally accepting that I no longer live in SoCal with its endless summer weather. &nbsp;All the summer items I have purchased are able to be layered to be more appropriate for the region. &nbsp;</p> <p>One of the items that would work very well in PNW summers is a cute white denim jacket: &nbsp;white as a nod to the season and a jacket because its still chilly. &nbsp;I have not been able to find one that I liked and then they all sold out because I guess everyone else in my area had the same sartorial idea. &nbsp;I just got back from a nice trip to San Diego to see my old friends and went shopping and found a WHITE DENIM JACKET! &nbsp;Probably never sold down there since no-one wears jackets in the summer since its so hot. &nbsp;But I have imported it to the PNW and will get lots of wear out of it, I'm sure. &nbsp;</p> <p>I've been here 5 years and I'm FINALLY figuring out how to dress for the climate. &nbsp;</p> <p> </p>
