Thank you all for great input! I'll have to go back and take a closer look at the cuffs + try to belt it. Zara has good deals for returning, so I can buy and play around a bit at home before I make a final decision.

I also need to do some budget counting and thinking

Una - it is actually the pocket detailing that *is* the cool thing about this shirt IMO it is a touch of bling, but not too much at all

I like it and think you'd get a lot of wear out of this! The inspiration photo helps - I think it looks really nice over something feminine like that - but it could work in a lot of ways.

Annagybe - thanks for the link, I'll look into it Zara came to my town just a few years ago and quite recently discovered it, so I'm very happy about that. Online shopping could be an option for you?

DeclawedJ - very good question! Yes, i do have a beige/sand coloured utility jacket from the 1970's (from my mother). I will have to consider getting this too, because I am well covered when comes to jackets, but not shirts. Thanks for posing important question!

Angie - yes the sleeves are rolled beack because of length, but it was already like that on the hanger and I forgot to unroll it to see how the cuff really looks like. Hmmm... might have to go back and have a better look at it. Do you think I should try to size down? Is it too long in the back?

Jonsey - so sorry that it didn't fit you! Zara sizes do tend to run a bit small

Sara L. and missvee- I didn't have a belt, so I should probably go back and retry it belted. Good advise!

Marley and Kirti - thanks!

Rute - how good to know! this was new to me. I guess you have to pay a bit for the service, but that is definately worth it

Deborah - thanks for your input! You have seen quite a lot of my stuff and style and your comments are always highly appreciated because I always learn a thing or two and I get some other perspectives. thank you, again!

ETA: this is one way I picture how to wear the shirt, to add edge to a dress outfit (though do not have a white dress ;-))

Zara has a tailor service, so you can as them to measure and hem the sleeves!
I love this jacket!

I like what I see but why don't you style it a few different ways before you make up your mind. You might find that it looks a bit bulky when you belt it.

I love the style but it seems a little roomy in pics 3 and 4. But if you're planning on belting it, then it will probably look fine.

I love it! I ordered that very shirt in a L but the shoulders were *still* too tight for me (even though the website boasted of its oversized fit--ha!), so get it so I can live vicariously through you :).

Is this one too big for me? The sleeves obviously needs to be shortened and i would probably wear it as a layering top over dresses and slim/skinny jeans, maybe belted.

Do you see it go with my wardrobe? (for those of you who have seen some of it)
