Sona I just came across this jacket in the Nordstrom sale online and it's almost the same one I have from the consignment. Mine fits much better than the model (because she has no bust and I don't often button it all the way up) but it's seamed and lightweight.
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/tr.....sultback=0
Also in colors (black, white and ssb)

I have a few denim jackets I rarely wear because they just feel bulky up top and I haven't mastered styling them so well. I do have a couple fitted denim blazers that I adore. One is a real lightweight denim (almost chambray) with seaming (no bulk), one is a classic blazer style (Halogen) and I find they work better for my style. Classic denim jackets I have are Gap and a Ralph Lauren (which has some stretch and is thinner denim) I found all but the Gap at consignment.

I think soft denim or even a fabric that isn't really denim. I got a navy twill one. Also you probably won't button it so don't try to get one that will. No pics yet but it was "Neuw" brand in Australia & on clearance. I also have a Levi's cropped trucker & one from Lucky. The Levi's one is the stiffest & stays away from my body at bust point downwards but it's new & not washed yet to soften it. I'm not too busty but I am a 32DD & have problems with some styles that busty women have problems with.

I also have a denim blazer that seems to look better than the traditional denim jackets in the bust area, but sometimes I want the cropped length.

I finally picked up an American Eagle denim jacket (something Angie mentioned quite some time ago) this past fall at an AE factory outlet store (my dip into the idea without spending a whole lot at first), and I wear a size 36D bra. I sized up to a size large in the jacket, and it fits quite nicely - but I only really wear it with skirts and dresses, since it's fairly cropped.

The one I got was this one:

http://www.ae.com/web/browse/p.....cat5460159

They also have a darker version:

http://www.ae.com/web/browse/p.....cat6010001

A black washed version:

http://www.ae.com/web/browse/p.....cat4260032

A faded version (oddly, their faded version looks darker than the regular one):

http://www.ae.com/web/browse/p.....cat4260032

I like the one I got - kind of a normal faded, but not "faded in a weird way" wash (first one linked). Like I said, I sized up to a large, and it fits me quite well, despite a 36D bra size. I would recommend trying an American Eagle brand cropped denim jacket and sizing up a wee bit. They're a little bit too short to wear with pants though, so it depends on what you want to wear the denim jacket with. The shoulders fit beautifully and in a size large, the jacket works just fine on someone (me) who wears a 36D bra size. Further- after trying umpteen denim jackets - this was "the one" - it fits beautifully in the shoulders, waist and bust area. In the past, jackets that fit my bust were too big in the shoulders, too baggy around the waist or what have you.

The AE jacket is a winner, imo. Just for reference, I wear clothing in sizes 8-12...my norm is about a 10, sometimes a 12 depending on brand.

editing to add: we won't talk about the fact that I spent about a year trying on various denim jackets, to no avail, and when I finally decided to just go into an AE store and try on the jacket that Angie had mentioned a long, long time ago - it was an "Aha!" moment.

Sona, I tried and tried and tried for years it seemed. And though I have man-boobs, no boobs that is, that is not the issue. Though just this week I wore one, for the first time in decades, with 3/4 sleeves that I liked.

The deal is that not everything that is an "essential" for someone else is going to be one for you. That is why I don't like those lists of "must-haves". Nice to see you, BTW.

I have a classic denim jacket from Eddie Bauer that fits the girls pretty well, its 100% cotton dark wash with some princess seaming at the bust & in the back for shape.

I have one denim jacket in a dark wash. I just made sure it fit in the shoulders and across the back. I don't worry about buttoning it up -- it has some stretch so it's comfortable. If it buttoned it wouldn't fit anywhere else. I got mine from ON for less than $30.00 about 3 yrs ago.

Pepperberry is great for the full bust. You order by your size and bust size. This jacket has been on my list but I fear UK shipping and possible returns.

It's not a great cut for making them look small, LOL. I still have one anyway. I've kind of given up, and at least it's a dark wash so the effect isn't too bad. But you don't really need a denim jacket to complete your wardrobe. Feel free to stick with something more fitted.

Nothing wrong with your body - ever.

For me, a denim jacket is a wardrobe essential. I have three in different washes. But they needn't be a wardrobe essential for you, Sona.

As far as denim jackets and larger busts go - my clients who fit that bill opt for a softer denim with a bit of stretch. JAG had a great version in last year.

Your boobs are just fine! I am a 36 so I know your pain! I found my denim jacket at Talbots. Their jackets aren't distressed, but nice and polished, a bit preppy. They are designed for a perhaps older customer, so they have more room for the girls in general.
