For more classic outfits, slim pants and a soft printed top would work well. Don't feel like you need to limit yourself to black/navy/gray on bottom though. Printed pants would be fun, as would white. My goal is to look nice but also be comfortable since I spend long days on campus. I prefer to wear flats for the comfort factor as well.
