The pockets are similar to a kangaroo pocket, but they don't meet in the middle. It's 100% wool. It's handwash only and uses the symbols to give cleaning details. It's a lovely shade of burgundy. I bought it used, but I think it's still in great condition. I've recently realized I can't wear wool, so I'd like to see this go to someone who can use it. </p>
