Good ideas everybody. Thanks! I like the shutter idea - going to look into that.

Can you crate your dogs at night somewhere where they can't hear or see the bunnies? We crate trained our dogs as puppies and although we don't use it as much now, it still comes in useful occasionally.

I agree with Dimity that obstructing the windows and doors with shutters, curtains, or translucent film might be your best bet. I've never had any success with sprays or spreads to deter the rabbits. Good luck! My dogs go bonkers for bunnies too, so I completly understand the urgency to fix the problem.

Could you put shutters on the windows to stop the dogs from seeing out at night? Or motion lights for the yard so bunnies get scared away?

I once heard that in order to rid pesky deer from her lawn, a woman requested lion poop from a local zoo. Apparently having predator poop scattered in her flower beds, has kept the deer away.

Thanks, Carter - although the dogs may think they are real and bark at them, too. My son is 13 and I really thought my days of waking up every 2 hours were over!
Until he starts driving and dating, I guess.

Maybe a couple cat statues would work? We have stray kitties, so no more visiting bunnies.

Not a pet bunny, but bunnies who visit our front yard during the night and cause the dogs to go absolutely bonkers - barking, whining, trying to hurl themselves through the windows. We have a small house and are being awakened sometimes 3 or 4 times a night to go outside and scare them away. Plus the neighbors may possibly be able to hear the dogs through the windows, not cool. We've tried a (humane, non-kill) trap - they are not falling for it. We put a plastic owl in the front yard (which previously worked on scaring away woodpeckers). We bought a bunny repellant spray from Home Depot and sprayed the lawn, shrub, and tree areas. It worked the first night, now they don't seem to be repelled, even with more applications.

Any advice? Thanks!
