I love my Xero natural foot shape shoes, with a wider toe box area. For a dressier style I've been eyeing the Origo New Derby. Supple leather and ties make this shoe promising for my low-volume, narrow heel and wide forefoot feet.
https://origoshoes.com/collect.....foot-shoes

Thank you for all these great ideas! I’ll look around online and I have one reasonably local shoe store that might be helpful. I may need to begin dressing from the toes on up!

Anyasreviews on IG is a wealth of information . It takes some work to wrap one’s head around the styling but I find it’s growing on me . I’m more than a little obsessed with foot health these days and am working to prevent the bunion I do have from getting worse .

There are sandals that come in W and WW sizes that are supportive. My suggestion is Munro. Here's a selection of the brand in wide widths:

https://www.nordstrom.com/sr?o.....n-shoes_c-

Should you want a closed shoe for skirts and dresses, the right non-athletic sneaker can work well too.

What about some sneakers like the Birkenstock ones? I think they have a fairly wide toe box.

I do not have any bunions but have a little toe that was broken years ago and did not heal straight, so requires a large toe box to the point that it requires a half size larger shoe than my other foot and I need to pack the shoe on the smaller foot with inserts. I like my toes to help hold on shoes and wear espadrilles in the summer. Tie shoes are good on narrow feet but are awful to take off and on in houses because they need to be untied and tied. My feet are narrow so wide toe boxes are a problem for keeping them on. Ask in the shoe department at a Nordstroms. The SA's are very knowledgeable and helpful. They may want to measure your feet and suggest a different size.. I like Sperry Topsiders and loafers. My summer loafers are perforated leather and are airy.

My podiatrist thinks everyone should be wearing wide toed box shoes for foot health, even aside from bunion considerations! He always recommends the brands Altra (running shoes and hiking boots) and Lems (a few different types of shoes; they have one slip-on style, the drifter). Kuru and Vionic (some of their styles but not all!) have good sandal options also.

Hello a silent partner here! Orthopedic doc is recommending shoes with a wide toe box that tie, such as Keen or Merrell. He says the goal is no shoe rubbing against the bunion and the ties will keep the toes from doing the work of holding the shoe on. Currently I wear mostly flat slip on shoes, along with sandals in the summer and booties in the winter, new balance for walking. A quick look at their websites don’t show much that feels familiar! I think I should be able to find some acceptable Oxford type of shoe to wear with pants in the winter, but what about summer dresses? I need help wrapping my mind around this! Thanks!
