Thank you ladies. This formula is absurdly easy and practical, and these skinnies make me smile because they're a different colour/texture than anything else I have in my wardrobe. And I'm now embracing slouchy, so that doesn't hurt either. Thank you for clarifying the colour, too. <br />Is the eggplant interesting enough on its own to be paired with a black coulneck sweater? Are there particular shades of red these skinnies&nbsp; may be appropriate with? This white sweater is probably the easiest pairing for me so far. Mine is cream-coloured with lurex thread throughout, as well as some button detailing on the shoulders. . It has plenty of chunky cable-knitting, but also has a boat neck and high-low hemline. It's also marvellously fluid, which I imagine would be extra important with a white/cream garment. <br />I styled it once with boot-cut jeans, but this time I'm sticking to the formula to the letter. Here it is with wine (or plum) skinnies, depending on who you ask, black booties, mixed-metal earrings and my clutch of the moment. :)</p> <p>Please let me know if this styling works, both in terms of Angie's formula and for me individually.<br />&nbsp;Your post </p>
