I find something that I love at a great price, then I slowly come to realize that it doesn't really fit my wardrobe. It isn't good for what I'm really going to use it for or it doesn't go with the colors that I own or it doesn't really work with my style. It is hard to say goodbye to those items, but I am getting better at letting them go. It is either return it and let someone else enjoy it (and me enjoy something that is a better fit) or figure out a way to make it work either by buying more items that work with it or by tweaking the items that I already own. Either way, it is never as seamless and easy as buying something that does work outright. Sometimes it is worth the effort, and sometimes it is not. If, however, you are wearing ankle pants, or those rolled to ankle length *or* a skirt/dress, black shoes might be more difficult to pull off. I can't remember, but I feel like you said you only have one or two purses at a time, so the more versatile the better. </p> <p>I don't think your bag and your shoes need to match colors, but I do like to see the colors repeated somewhere else in the outfit if they don't match. If you don't have a lot of brown in your wardrobe, then (if I were in your place) I would return the bag and get one that goes with the most common color in my wardrobe. I purchased a bunch of others but returned all of them. I also returned the faux boots (thanks to the wise women on YLF). I do not have any brown footwear at all. Do you think this is ok with black veronicas and black booties? Should I rReturn the purse (I still have some time left to do that)? I have this sense that something else in the colour palette should be brown. Any guidance appreciated. </p>
