Oh boy. Embarrassingly, I need to literally dust these off a bit better. I realize upon seeing the pictures on my computer instead of on mobile that a bit more dust settled onto my dresser than I'd thought. Sorry about that! (Long story, but we've had roofing work over our heads for the past several weeks, and plaster dust falling in daily!)

Great little stock of pins there! I am coveting the bee- looks like a Kenneth Jay Lane piece .

That is a nice collection. I especially like the hummingbird. I am looking forward to dusting some of mine off. I lost my mom a few years ago and I have some of hers that I haven't worn yet. I love brooches.

I'm tickled that brooches are coming back, as I've missed seeing them in costume jewelry collections in stores. I mostly have worn mine on wool coats or occasionally blazers in the past couple years, and some of mine have laid dormant in my jewelry box. I'm not sure if I'll wear them all, but they are fun!

1. The nicer pieces: a bee brooch that I stalked and won on EBay a couple years ago; a turquoise and pearl brooch that was a YoulookFab Secret Santa gift; a Waterford Crystal seahorse I brought back from Ireland.

2. A silver hummingbird I bought in a Toronto market; two snowflakes, one of which was my great-great aunt's; two cheapo butterflies I wore and played with like crazy when I was about 5-7 years old.

3. The novelty pins: bow, skeleton key, and cameo from H&M about 8 years ago; Merida and Slinky Disney pins (the dog reminds me of my Lucy); a Hunger Games pin that was a stocking stuffer from B.

4. Numerous floral brooches that I hung on to.
