Well remembered Bijou about the Hush Puppies! I attach a pic of them below. You can see the colour is closer to the thread in my Sabatini jersey. And I think it was IRL when I tried them on many months ago. The Beltrami pic from the website looks a brighter bronze than they are IRL. But it's OK. Brooklyn prefers a muted bronze! I'll take that! I was well aware of several beautiful heeled boots I already have that I don't really wear. That's why ( as well as price) I didn't buy the Hush Puppies at the time, straight off. I'm well aware now of fantasy life and real life. Yes when I tried them on for this outfit lab Lisa I only undid one zip and it didn't go on easily, it would do so but started to cause a crease in the top part of the forefoot. They are not quite the bright bronze I hoped, the colour of the thread in my favourite Sabatini jersey ( pic 1). They are however exactly the same last/shape/size as 2018's favourite flat black Maria Rossi boots which I bought on 1 April and wore 88 times. The zips are odd though, they go the opposite way and are on both sides of the boots not just the inner side. Neil says they look more correct intuitively in the black boot. See pics 2-6 comparing the boots.<br /> They are still beautiful, I think will be as comfy as the black even if the zip placement is slightly odd. The black are looking a bit worn on the toes after 88 wears though I have not yet polished them ( lazy, you see). The black cost $110 and I got the bronze on extra sale for $97. ( Originally $242). Both Italian made.<br /> Pics 7-11 are some outfit try-ons with my fave pewter winter pants plus tops- the orange top is new and needs the sleeves turned up, I just tucked them under for pic. Thoughts on colour of boots? </p>
