So if it were me I would pay the $ 24 extra to get what I really wanted. I kind of feel it is so easy to waste money in life and so if I want to spend a little more on something, just buy fewer takeaway coffees or bottles of wine or miss out on a magazine or buy a cheaper main course out. Perhaps I just have too much disposable income? :)<br />I am quite ambivalent on how much I will spend on things. Most owners of these businesses are wealthy, so if they will discount something that's great, but I am still usually grateful I have their shops to shop in and so I feel well, it's my choice, my money, if I don't want to pay what they ask I will walk away like you did. What I find hard is if it goes on sale a short time later. In NZ we don't seem to have the generous Nordstrom policy that I think I've read about here that will credit you the difference? Here, the price you paid is what you paid and it is as we say, "tough biccies". They don't bother my toe, but they're also hard and flat, with no cushioning whatsoever. I really wanted a change so when I was out running errands other day, I stopped in at Nordstrom Rack. I found some Vionic flip flops. The black ones were $38, and the navy ones were $64. I went up to the counter to see if the navy ones were mismarked. No, I was told. I told the SA I wasn't interested. I was surprised that Nordstrom Rack was selling things at full retail price. I thought they were a discounter. Have any of you noticed this before?</p> <p>I ended up ordering Clark flip flops from Zappos. They were $40, and had rave reviews.
