Depends on the type of leather. Black Veronica boots come is both weathered leather, which is softer and slouchier, and a stiffer shinier leather, which is not as soft. Both slouch but the softer leather will slouch more, if that make sense. Both look good in my opinion, but it depends on what you are going for. I have a brown pair in the softer leather and a black pair in the shinier leather. Love them both for different reasons!

I do not find my Veronica slouch boots puddling down around my ankle, but they do wear slouchy. Soft leather on the shaft of the boot. I think they wear as pictured in photos

I am a huge fan of frye!

Most of my fryes are in the same size as my other shoes. Pull on styles tend to be harder to break in. I still recommend your usual size, but a size bigger will not be a deal breaker. I have a couple of fryes in a bigger size; they were on sale. They do feel big but I still can wear them with socks comfortably. My veronica got completely slouch after about 5 long wears.

Hi all,
I am considering purchasing a pair of used (but great condition) black Frye Veronica Slouch boots for $125. I am meeting the woman tomorrow. Questions from those that have a pair.
1) How is the sizing? I typically wear a size 7, but these are 7.5. I am hoping they will be fine with either thick socks or an insert.
2) How was the slouch after a year or so? I don't want them to slouch too much. I like a more straight-up-the-leg boot. But not stiff. I like the way the Veronica's look in pictures I have seen. Casual and kind of slouchy, but not bunched down on the ankle as if you pushed them down on purpose. I am wondering if after a year or so of wearing them, do they still stay up or do they just bunch down at the ankle?
Thanks!
