Bryan Cranston is the reason why I still have some small bit of sympathy for Walt. When he made that phone call to Skyler in the episode before last -- when he had taken Holly and knew the police were there -- and he started to break down and cry before he hung up, I could feel it. He's done awful things, and in many ways is unforgivable. But I could still see his humanity in that moment -- his despair in having to say goodbye in that way to his family, and how everything he had done had only driven them away from him, rather than help them.
