Ooh a Baltic cruise is on my wish list! I spent a year in Finland in high school (a long time ago) and Helsinki had some great department stores downtown. Fun to just browse and see what appeals to you. There was a great glassware store too - iitala - where I got some gifts. I also got some black clogs that I wore for years and some fabric bags - a large tote and a quilted cross-body - and actually still have them. I don't remember what brands these were. Have fun!

Traditional Russian shawls (often in thin wool or in silk & wool) are beautiful, elegant and practical. They come in lots of colours and patterns. (Also perfect as gifts, if you know the receiver's favourite colours.) No particular brand recommended.

I bought a nice hand knit scarf in Estonia at an artist’s market.
ETA outside of Saint Petersburg in a Catherine Palace, where the Amber room is, I got an amazing amber bracelet from the gift shop
ETA 2: Dansko isn’t made in Europe anymore, Sanitas are
Cute Finnish shoes https://www.minnaparikka.com/global/
Also in Finland I got the best shoe Inserts ever. They were filled with fir needles, and made your shoes smell nice & the padding was good. Wish I could find them here

In Finland there's Marimekko of course!

I think where to go and what to look for depends entirely on your personal style and needs. I've bought hand-knit sweaters, amber jewelry, and painted clogs in Sweden, but I also have a real soft spot for this mid-range brand called Indiska which has boho, Indian-influenced clothes, not at all what you'd stereotypically associate with Scandinavia!

Ecco, Paul Green, Birkenstock - are cheaper in Germany than the US and they carry styles and colors I dont see here

Haflinger boiled wool with cork soles house shoes are one of my favorite souvenirs - they are available in the US but better prices and designs in Germany

One shop I always love to visit in Europe is O Bag. I don't know about Scandanavia but I know they have stores in Germany. Here is their U.S. website:

Well, it depends on your personal taste and how much you want to spend. Here are some suggestions in different price ranges:

● Fashion brands in Scandinavia (= Denmark, Norway, Sweden):
Baum und Pferdgarten, Bruuns Bazaar, By Malene Birger, b.young, COS, Dale of Norway (traditional knitwear), Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Designers Remix, Filippa K, Fjällräven (functional outdoor clothes and equipment), Ganni, Gina Tricot, Gudrun Sjöden, Helly Hansen (outdoor clothing, sportswear and streetwear), H&M Trend, InWear, Kari Traa (fashionable athletic wear), Mads Nørgaard, Munthe, Noa Noa, Oleana (colourful creative knitwear), Saint Tropez, Samsøe & Samsøe, Vero Moda.
(Haven't time to write a description of each of them, but recommend that you check them out on the internet. Check out the famous Finnish brand Marimekko, too.)

● Jewellery:
In Scandinavia, you will find large selections of high quality silver jewellery. (Famous Danish brand: Georg Jensen.) Finland is well-known for jewellery in interesting combinations of wood and metals. And in most of the countries you will be visiting you will probably see beautiful amber jewellery that is rare in many other parts of the world.

There are Scandinavian Fabbers here who I'm sure will chime in. I enjoyed the smaller Scandinavian stores in Sweden, and love COS.

In Germany, I enjoy Stefanel and Claudia Strater.

I'm with Shevia and Janet, browse what comes your way, and bring back something special.

Oh, I would love to get up to the Baltic. I bet that will be an amazing cruise. One of these days we’ll get up there and see seals, Art Deco & northern lights.

Living in Germany, i don’t find German brands particularly affordable here, am curious what others will say.
