I had to get the bootcut because the straight leg option (which has a higher rise) doesn't come in long for white. They are comfortable, and the denim is soft and stretchy, and I am also a little paranoid after J Crew white clams stretched out so much last year. I guess if they stretch out too much, since they are high-waisted, I'll be able to have them taken in so at least they won't slide off.</p> <p>Angie, they weren't too narrow. I just have a freakishly long 3rd toe which ends up hanging off the sole because the front is kind of pointed. For example, Me Too Swanns' toe box is square and accommodates my toes perfectly. I don't think going up in size will help.
