I tried the BR Hayden tapered fit velvet pant--a pull on pant--and the size M was huge and unflattering, so I sent them back.&nbsp;</p> <p>BR jeans still work pretty well for me, but I'm having trouble finding pants there that work. I used to do well with the Martin fit. I would love a good pair in a not too dark teal or burgundy or a blue that isn’t too dark (trying to stay away from anything that reads as black). Sadly, the pairs I have tried recently (the finds below) are skinny and short, or cut tight and stretchy (the kind of fabrication that does not size up well to get more ease in the fit). And I still can’t find any good velvet flares in any color but black (which is what I currently have). If the Sloans are too skinny for you, they’re hopeless for me! The Boden ones are cute but not the right colors for me. You do though, <i><u>have to like skinnies to like the Sloans</u></i>. Said client does, and got them in teal. She's thrilled! &nbsp;</p> <p>Can be worn CASUALLY too :)</p> <p>Personally, I find the BR Sloans too skinny, and stuck to Boden for my own velvet pants (old and new). They are less tight all over, and roomier on the legs. I have two pairs that I had altered to fit. (Mustard and Red). I wear them casually, and dress them up.&nbsp;</p> </p>
