Yes. Try them as an apple shape. Stretchy on the midsection.

Hi all, I'm new here but have been reading Angie's blog for a few years and love the great advice found there! I'm writing for advice now because I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy the Banana Republic Sloan trousers and wonder if anyone here has apple-shaped experience with this style. It seems to be hugely popular! Many of the raving reviews seem to be from self-described curvy girls, which I'm assuming means pear- or hourglass-shapes. I'm a decided apple, with the flat and somewhat saggy rear end that tends to go along! I usually have good luck with the trouser cut, or boyfriend cut, as long as the fabric maintains it's shape. I like the look of the cut online, but havent had the chance to try a pair on as the nearest store is 6 hours away.
